I'm Andrew.I'm a founder, investor, writer, and community builder.I was born in Hong Kong and lived in Taiwan, China, and Canada.I moved to NYC in 2020 to work at Facebook. In 2022, I left to join Google as a Global Product Lead, and I did that for a year before leaving to start my own company. Life is too short.Today, I'm the Founder of fibe, a portfolio of events companies that cater to tech CEOs, investors, and professionals. These include andrew's mixers (1,000-person mixers), The Junto Series (CEO dinners), Lumos House (a multi-day, multi-city experience in a private mansion), and The OOO Summit (a summit for entrepreneurs and creators). It's the most fun I've ever had.I'm also an Angel Investor and Partner at Next Wave NYC, a pre-seed venture fund backed by Flybridge, where I invest in pre-seed/seed-stage software companies. I've backed 9 companies to date.Over 35,000 tech professionals have attended my events across 8 cities, including founders of billion-dollar companies, media personalities with millions of followers, and Olympic athletes turned entrepreneurs.Business Insider also dubbed me the "Gatsby of Silicon Alley", and I've been featured on Fast Company, Bloomberg, Fortune Magazine, Morning Brew, and This Week in Startups for building tech communities.Companies like Fidelity, Craft Ventures, AMEX Ventures, and 30+ other corporations have sponsored my events.Beyond that, I share my thoughts on my personal blog, write about tech careers for Business Insider, and and have spoken about tech careers, community, and entrepreneurship at Princeton University, Columbia Business School, SXSW 2023, Advertising Week 2023, and Jason Calacanis' "This Week in Startups" podcast.My online platform spans 140,000+ people and reaches 1M+ people every month.
